NaBloPoMo: March 18, 2010 “Git’n Spring”
Buds ‘r on the branches an’ the Robins ‘r on the ground
Mockin’ Bird’s a mockin’ an’ putt’n on ev’ry sound
Cardinal’s flash’n red, sky’s a turn’n blue
Grass is grow’n green an’ shoot’n up anew
Dirt is git’n turned an’ seed is go’n down
Ol’ Man Winter’s freez’n is git’n turned aroun
Calfs ‘r prance’n in the pasture, a bagg’n momma to come an’ play
Barn’s all clean an’ empty wait’n on the season’s hay
The chickens ‘r a cluck’n an’ the rooster’s look’n proud
wild flowers ‘r bloom’n in the fields what ain’t been plowed
Creek’s a run’n full an’ dance’n in the sun
Ol’ bull’s a kick’n up even tho’ he weighs a ton
Ducks ‘r quack’n, geese ‘r honk’n an’ the Blue Bird’s
on the wing
The world’s a wakin’ up cause it’s a git’n spring!
