My Irritations, Aggravations and Inspirations

Another Poem by Your’s Truly: Lullaby

Lullaby

Slumber my Darling, sleep safe in my arms,

Knowing the Night Mares can ne’er do you harm.

Thou art my charge and thy keeper am I,

From moon’s cold ascending ‘til sun warms the sky.

No furrow upon thy sweet brow will there be,

For I, like thy angel, stand watch over thee.

Let gentle dreams take thee where ever they may,

For I will stand by thee ‘til night becomes day.

When morning awakes at thy journey’s last mile

Thou wilt know that I watched… o’er thee all the while.
