My Irritations, Aggravations and Inspirations

August 7, 2010

the inevitable flight
of a bird so rare
just to see it lifts the soul
to places only in dreams

song softly sublime
woos the unsuspecting heart
to think it can fly
soaring in heavenly clouds
fluff of feathers, bird is gone

  1. This makes me think of the pigeons we have around the place here. They sort of look at me funny and then fly off with a funny, toy pinwheel turning in the breeze kind of sound. A nice evocation of thoughts here, Tracy. 🙂

  2. Absolutely lovel, Tracy. Some rather perfect word choices … like “woos.” Has me cooing with delight.

    Have a fab weekend.

  5. Ah…this really reminded me of some of the dreams I’ve had… birds coming out of nowhere…and suddenly vanishing!
    (Sigh)… Dream… such a fantastic phenomenon!
You really have a lovely way of bringing out the romanticism in your readers as well, Tracy…
