My Irritations, Aggravations and Inspirations

September 21, 2010 “if I wrote”

I asked, “what should I write?” she said, “write about how much you love me…”

“if I wrote”

if I wrote how I desire you

truly how I desire you

how I dream of your touch

how I taste your kisses

though our lips have never met

how I feel your body tremble

in the moment of deepest passion

if I penned how it feels

to see my reflection in your sated eyes

though only in a dream

if I wrote the feel of your hand in mine

of your small fingers clasped in mine

as we walk along a shore

or on some sunlit path

if I scribbled out some lines

about the glorious fullness

in the core of my soul

or how the words

I Love You”

sound in my ears…

if I put pen to paper and wrote this

the pen would cry out

and the paper would weep

for the unwritable,
