My Irritations, Aggravations and Inspirations

October 25, 2010 “Love is…”

For Poetry Potluck

“Love is…”

Love needs no metaphor

it does not…seem

it is not…as

it simply…is

…unto itself

…of its own accord

…in its own time

…from where it will

…to whomever it will

…without regard

…without prejudice

…without conceit

…eternal

abiding in the heart

full of joy

tears

smiles

pain

happiness…

…faith

Love survives

time

distance

difference

death…

…life

Love simply is…

if you let it…

EVERYTHING.

    love is love,
everyone feels it in different ways,
but love is embrace, grace, and acceptance.

    sweet treat for potluck.

  17. Kinda like “Let It Be” or “All You Need Is Love”? (Can’t help making Beatles references)

It also reminds me of something I wrote about truth: “Truth needs no footnotes.”

    Nice piece, Tracy.
