My Irritations, Aggravations and Inspirations

October 27, 2010 “divine nectar of fickle gods”

For One Shot Wednesday

“divine nectar of fickle gods”

luscious wine…

sun setting

in the glass…

red

sweet

gentle

exotic accent

disarming

charming

relieved me

of my senses…

subtle

alluring…

promised

bliss

eternal kiss

warm surrender

dreams realized

happiness…

cold breath

in the gloaming

fog…

waking

in a salty

rain…

pain

from lonely eyes

opened

to stinging truth…

an empty glass

love’s racemus

withered on the vine

  5. The melancholy of the morning after, when one discovers that bliss promised by that exotic vintage is elusive… I hear you, my friend. Big hug.

  6. For some reason this reminded me of the African proverb “Ofurufu ko se ifiehin ti. = One cannot lean upon emptiness.” Really enjoyed this one Tracy, but glad I don’t have your head this morning. 😉

  9. There are things to make us forget, temporarily…but one will ultimately have to return to reality!
