My Irritations, Aggravations and Inspirations

About Me…

I’m 48 years old.  I live in East Tennessee in the foot hills of  The Great Smoky Mountains, where the Real men are fat and bald and the Real women like ’em that way.  I’m really just a regular guy who likes to think he has something to say that everyone else wants/needs to hear…so I do this little blog.  I blog for the entertainment of myself and others, well, at least it’s quite entertaining to me anyway.  I write poetry; since I was 14.  I like photography, (unless otherwise stated, all the photos are mine).  I like movies, but who doesn’t like movies, right?  I have an 18 year old daughter and I don’t have any pets.  I use … way too often, but that’s just how I roll… Just Say’n

  2. I’ve been reading back in time here, and enjoying every minute of it. It’s official: I’m a fan, and I’ll be back.

Thank you for visiting my blog, and for your very kind comments. I love visitors and comments (I’m guessing we all do, except maybe a few lingering Beat poets who post only to howl in the wind). I hope you’ll visit again.

Well after catching up a little bit on your dissertations, I thought about trying to reel you back in. The more I read though, the better I thought to let you fly unencumbered. Stay the course my brother.

Relished the way you present thoughts
Somewhat reflects value in some blogs.

  9. Okay,
I am 45 years old and live in a part of Kentucky that can still be called rual. I love nature and, my wife might as well like a fat bald man, because she has one.

By the way, you know you live in paradise when people decide to come and vacation in your part of the world.

My wife and I are going to the smokies in April.

Is there any better place to write than the great out doors? On any given day, you can just take a walk and clear the mind.

Great blog! Keep banging them poems out! The saddest story or poem ever are the ones not told.

Nice to see that you are still writing. I kept some of your works from too many years ago and find myself reading them from time to time. Each reading leaves me with a warm feeling and a wide smile! I will be back to visit your blog soon.

    The Versatile Blogger Award
I am honored but I feel you are more deserving than I based on the way you paint
with words and write with hues of color.

hey TracyH…I’m Gee, just found your blog site…I am sayin’ it’s as coolas a full shelf of groceries to a teenage boy….I am writing this novel about the area between Mobile and Nashville…mostly east of what is called the Natchez Trace…initially interested by the discovery that there was a culture there which shared a language I had never heard of MOBILIAN…the kind of fact one flukes into using the WEB…I’m not so much interested in the language now…as I am in the culture of the area, the plants and animals and an assortment of inflections that lend themselves to authenicity…for example, I was inspired to continue in my quest by the phrase ‘living in a place where self reliance is common…This phrase indicated to me the kind of out of the way settlements/villages where folks had almost no need for commercial enterprises…what kind of place might it be if trade being light and irregular, were of little consequence?? In this world of hyper-commerce? This reminded me of the pleasure of the boyhood days when you might trade a jawbreaker for a yoyo without a string and two bits bought a pack of Lucky’s for seven of us. The sentiment of straight forward, hand to other hand exchange. It is those feelings of being simple enough that appealed to me. Initially.

Well, I have never been to this part of the country…and have only heard from one native, a Kentucky woman from the Holl’rs….a good person with a difficult history who didn’t have alot to say to me; the yankee outsider. Nonetheless, I have been researching and then writing as if I know what I’m talkin’ bout’. Art is a mis’ry at times, as you know. My working title is ” Coupla Cupcakes…extra sprinkles.”…and is a story about two illegitimate boys fathered by the same man [Constable Granger ‘Chuff’ Redden who was 23 at the time and’ hot to turkey trot…same as any impassioned dumbfuck might do…. fathered in the same season and lookin’ more like fraternal twins or first cousins.] So, TracyH…not exactly flyin by the seat of my writerly pants here but not always comfortable with my authenic factuals. In other words, I’ll be reading your blog from time to time, fact checking myself, and so I have to hope you are getting it down and writing it all up as ” the way it is”

    I’m in Santa Barbara
